The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has given a pat on the back to the Interim Management Committee, IMC that oversaw the organisation of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

The federation in its comminque after the Executive Committee meeting on Wednesday lauded the Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye led committee for doing a great work in ensuring that the league was not only successful but complied with all the laid down rules guiding the round leather game in the country.

“The Board unanimously expressed satisfaction and delight with the efforts put into the organization of the just-concluded Nigeria Premier Football League season and the NPFL Playoff Championship by the Interim Management Committee headed by Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, and declared without mincing words that the Committee has fulfilled its mandate with distinction,” NFF said

The 2023 NPFL was concluded on May 11 with Enyimba International emerged Champions.

In the Super 6 Play-off in Lagos, Enyimba emerged top of the log followed by Remo Stars who picked the second CAF Champions League ticked along with Enyimba.

Rivers United ended 3rd and picked one of the CAF Confederation Cup ticket.

The 2023/2024 NPFL is proposed to kick-off on 26/27 August this year.
