The National Association of Nigeria Footballers, NANF has described the purported agenda of Amaju Pinnick to seek for a third-term in office as President, Nigeria Football Federation as an “insult to Nigeria football stakeholders” Bestchoicesports.com.ng reports.

NANF which alleged that Mr Pinnick twice emerged as NFF President through vote buying in 2014 and 2018 noted that the past five years of his administration have been a colossal waste.

The union in release made available noted that Pinnick failed in all international competitions, as today NPFL is rated 9th in Africa while it was rated among the top 3 in Africa during the days of his predecessor.

“On Pinnick’s purported third term ambition, it’s an insult to real stakeholders that are not part of the conquered NFF congress to say he does not want to return for third term even though there is no term limit.

“How did Pinnick emerge NFF president in 2014? It’s by way of procurement through massive vote buying. What was the yardstick for returning Pinnick in 2018 in katsina? His predecessor Alhaji Aminu Maigari Won the Nations cup, won the U-17 World Cup, the Nigeria premier league was rated between first and second in Africa in his tenure; he qualified Nigeria for the 2nd round of the World Cup in 2014 but he never returned for second term.

“What was Pinnick’s scorecard for a second term? He failed in all international competitions, as at today NPFL is rated 9th in Africa. It’s same procurement of massive vote buying that returned Pinnick in katsina.

“That is why the current NFF defective structure cannot stand apart from the fact that it is not all inclusive, it will only produce a president worse than pinnick if urgent reforms that will accommodate real stakeholders are not carried out.

“The NANF cannot fold its arms to continue to see Nigeria Football in the stranglehold of monstrous gang. The only way out is for Pinnick and his gang to submit themselves to the criminal Justice system and prove us wrong because no connection in high places can sweep these allegations under the carpet,” the statement signed by NANF President, Harrison Jalla Wednesday said
