The Ivorian Football Federation Friday announced the cancellation of country’s football league season due to the ravaging coronavirus pandemic, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands.

The federation named league leaders Racing Club as this season’s champions and will represent the country in next year’s CAF Champions League.

There will be no relegation with two teams being promoted from the lower league expanding Ligue 1 to 16 teams for the 2020/21 season.

The 2020 domestic cup, National Cup, has been cancelled and FC San Pedro that finished second in the league will fly the Ivorian flag in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
