Bayelsa State Scrabble Association Gets New Leadership

In bid to revive scrabble in Bayelsa State, the State’s Scrabble Association have appointed Chief Press Secretary to Bayelsa State Governor Mr. Daniel Alabrah and Mr. Timiibieri Goans Woko as chairman and vice chairman of the association.

In an official document signed by the secretary of the Sports council Pastor Robin Apreala and Director Bayelsa State sports council Sir, Braveman Wodi approves the appointment of Daniel Alabrah as chairman of the scrabble association while Mr. Timiibieri Goans Woko will serves as vice chairman.

According to a document that the appointment of the duo becomes necessary due to their love and contribution towards the development of scrabble in the state .

Mr.Alabrah takes over from the former speaker of the Bayelsa State Assembly Mr. Tonye Isenah who was the chairman of the Association.

Reacting to the appointment Head coach of Bayelsa State Scrabble Association Okorodas Preye noted that the appointment of Mr.  Alabrah and Mr. Goans-Woko as chairman and vice chairman became imperative due to their immense contributions to revitalize scrabble in Bayelsa State.

Mr. Preye lamented  that despite the achievement recorded in scrabble over the years;   scrabble development is still begging for attention.

Mr. Preye added that if proper attention is accorded to scrabble;  Bayelsans would be celebrated globally as champions.
