Coach John Obuh Takes Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge Scouting Campaign To Abia State

As the date for the most prestigious football trial in Nigeria draws closer, the Nigeria Coordinator, Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge, Coach John Sam Obuh has taken the campaign to Umuahia, Abia state capital.
Coach Obuh who arrived the God’s Own State on Wednesday, has visited some football clubs and academies in preparatory for the challenge billed to hold in Abuja from November 5 to 11, 2020.
In Umuahia, Coach Obuh visited Diamond Football Academy on 22nd to encourage the players and coaches on the need to key into the Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge.
The next day saw the former Flying Eagles coach visiting TFA Academy where management expressed readiness to be part of the trial.
On September 24th, Coach Obuh visited Right2Win Football Academy in Umuahia and had a chat with the management and players of the academy.
Speaking to Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge media from Umuahia, the former coach of Akwa United expressed satisfaction on the academies and lauded the managements for their great efforts in ensuring that grassroots football in the country is sustained.
Coach Obuh who was delighted with the calibre of players the three academies have, said that the future of Nigeria football is secured.
He added that Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge could not have come at a better time stressing that the trial will open up vista of opportunities for the players to excel in their careers.
“What I saw in the academies I visited amazed me. I was delighted to witness the kind of football academies we have here in Umuahia and I make bold to say that Nigeria has never lacked potentials in football or sports generally.
“The managements of the academies are doing great jobs and I must commend them. They are great men and women who are making sure that we sustain our grassroots football. Their investments and efforts are yielding good results. So I commend them.
“Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge could not have come at a better time. Using Umuahia as a microcosm of Nigeria is enough evidence to show that this country is hugely blessed with abundant talents in football and sports generally.
“Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge has come to offer these young footballers the great and unique opportunities to excel in their careers. The managements of the academies have given me their words that they will be part of the trial.
“And from what I saw in their trainings and going by what other football academies have across the country, Fieldoo Officials will have difficulty in choosing talented players come November,” he concluded.
It could be recalled that Diamond Football Academy, Umuahia, discovered and nurtured Super Eagles star, Samuel Chukwueze and former Flying Eagles star, Kelechi Nwakali.
Both players currently plays in the Spanish La Liga. While Chukwueze plays for Villarreal, Nwakali plays for Huesca.
The Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge is a football trial that will last for seven days in Abuja and will be held at the Moshood Abiola Stadium.
