The 2020 National Sports Festival, NSF will now hold in 2021, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report authoritatively.

The 20th edition of the festival scheduled to hold in Benin, the Edo State capital, will now hold from January 3rd to 17, 2021.

An impeccable source who spoke to our correspondent in Abuja said that the new date was arrived at after a virtual meeting among Presidential Task Force on Covid-19, PTF the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC and the sports Ministry on Thursday, November 26, 2020

The honourable Minister of youth and sports, Sunday Dare had earlier today told sports journalists in Abuja during the FCT SWAN Week seminar that the festival was not postponed indefinitely.

The news airwave was saturated with report on the cancellation of the festival by the PTF.

The new date, as expected, is however, subject to adherence to all Covid-19 protcols to ensuring that the virus does not escalate after the festival.

It could be recalled that the festival was initially sechduled to hold from 3rd to 18th December, 2020
