NPFL Matchday 3: NRA Assures Clubs Of Free, Fair Officiating

Teams taking part in the ongoing NPFL have been assured of quality officiating as Week Three matches take place this Sunday.

In a release Sunday, the president of the Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, Otunba Tade Azeez, while giving the assurance, asked the referees to remain free and fair while on duty.

Otunba Tade Azeez reminded the referees about being safe and applying Covid-19 preventive protocols in the course of discharging their duties.

In Port Harcourt where Rivers hosts Kwara, the Secretary General of the Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, Dr Suleiman Usman Omezia will be in charge of the officiating crew led by seasoned arbiter of the Lagos State Council, Jelili Ogunmuyiwa, assisted on the lines by Abubakar Abba of Kano and Bauchi based Ahmed Abdulahi.

While the all South West derby in Lagos; MFM vs Sunshine has Yusuf Indabawa of Kano at the centre another top clash in Lafia involving Nassarawa and Pillars will see an Owerri based building engineer Uche Nwaegbe control proceedings with the whistle where retired woman fifa referee, Bola Sekitiri is the Assessor.

Another retired FIFA referee, Abraham Zakowi will also be on the stands to observe how Ghali Habib of Kano will officiate alongside Cletus Adewebi of Lagos and FCT’s Fizobe Sampson as Assistant Referees 1 and 2 respectively in the Enyimba vs Wikki game.

One of the two newly promoted referees who have moved from NNL to NPFL, in action today, Sebastian Onwe of Ebonyi council will receive his baptism of fire in the elite scene as Sadiq Dauda and Ibrahim Adamu controls the flag for the Lobi vs Warri clash in Markurdi.
