Mark Paye, Liberian striker have been banned one year from football in that country after he shoved off centre referee during a league match.

The striker who plays for first division club Bea Mounting FC on Sunday, December 5,202 did not take kindly to being booked for the second time in their game against LISCR FC

Paye who was already having a Yellow Card scored for his side Bea Mountain FC and he went on to remove his shirt during his celebration which attracted another yellow card and eventually picked a red card and he was dismissed from the encounter

The decision did not go down well with the striker as he dumped all his frustration on the Center Referee Moses Forkpah by shoving him to the ground and the referee collapsed in the process causing an abandonment of the match.

Consequently, the Liberia Football Association (LFA) charged the striker, Mark Paye with violent conduct and suspended him from all LFA activities for one year.

Following Mark’s second yellow and sending off he stepped up to Forkpah and pushed him to the ground, something that brought the match to a complete halt.

Paye who won the 2016 highest goal scorer with BYC and later moved to LISCR for two seasons appeared angry with the referee’s decision but was held back by players from both sides after he hit on the referee.

Forkpah had to be attended to by medics of both teams and the Sports Medic Association of Liberia for over ten minutes before he was taken off the pitch on stretcher by medics.

The match had to come to an abrupt end after 81 minutes of play with Bea Mounted leading 2-1.
