Lagos U-17 Girls Basketball team are the first to qualify for the final game at the ongoing maiden Southwest Rising Stars U-17 Girls Basketball Championship with a game to spare.

Lagos in the first game defeated Oyo with a ten-point gap (39-29) before handing another heavy defeat to Ekiti (42-20).

The title favourites in their third game beat Ondo 41-26 and humiliated Osun in their fourth match that qualified them for the final. With this, Lagos garnered 8 points with 155 Basket Made (BM) and 87 Basket Against (BA).

In the round-robin tournament, Ogun who won three games are second with 7 points in four matches. Unfortunately, they have a mountain to climb when they face Lagos later today.

Ekiti and Ondo who faced each other today still have the chance to pick the second final ticket if Ogun lose their last game and either Ondo or Ekiti win with high basket made.
