Shooting Stars dependable defender, Adekunle Adeniyi has dedicated his first Man of Match Award in the Colours of his new team, Oluyole Warriors to his son Adekunle David.

The former Sunshine Stars posted a sterling performance in an NPFL matchday 19 encounter against visiting Nasarawa United which earned him the ‘King of Match Award’ on the night as 3SC managed a 1 – 0 victory at the Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan.

The tall Centre Back dedicated his King of Match Award to his son, Adekunle David while speaking with pressmen immediately after the match

“I wish to first of all give thanks to God who made this possible. It’s been God almighty all the way.

“I am dedicating this award to my Son, Adekunle David. He’s just some months old. This award is specially dedicated to him.

“It’s my first Man of Match Award in the shirt of Shooting Stars and i really cherished it. I hope to scoop more of this award because it will go a long way to motivate and cheer me to a better performance in future games.

Adekunle joined 3SC during NPFL Week 9 window to beef up their defence and the highly experienced defender has left no stone unturned by proving his worth in the heart of Oluyole Warriors’ defence.
