Musa Mohammed Upbeat As Poverty Fighters Battle Nasarawa Ambassador In North-Central Handball Championship

Most Valuable Player, MVP in Poverty Fighters match against Benue Buffaloes, Musa Mohammed has disclosed that the Abuja based club are ready to face their neighbours, Nasarawa Ambassador on Sunday in the ongoing 3rd edition of the North-Central Handball Championship in Makurdi, Benue State capital.
Speaking after Handball Premier League side, Benue Buffaloes came from behind to snatch a 20-20 result on Saturday, Mohammed who said the MVP award is a motivation for him and his teammates, noted that they have much confidence going into the encounter on Sunday morning
“Winning the Most Valuable Player award in the match is a great motivation not just fir me but the entire team. Our first match on Saturday was not easy but we stood our ground against as great team. We did not give them space to dominate us.
“We wanted to win the match but along the line, we did not achieve our object.
“Right now our attention is against Nasarawa Ambassador and we have much confidence going into the match,”
Poverty Fighters Handball Club based in Nigeria’s seat of power, Abuja, was established in January 2022.
They are participating in their first ever competition six months after and the lads are hoping to take the 3rd edition of the North-Central Handball Championship by storm.
