NFF To Super Eagles Players: Show More Zeal, Dedication To National Cause

Despite qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON to be hosted by Ivory Coast next year with a game to spare, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has charged the Super Eagles players to show more “more zeal, cohesion and fierce dedication to national cause.”

The NFF Executive Committee Board who congratulated the team for their qualification, gave the charge after their meeting in Abuja on Tuesday

“Following the team’s qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations finals with a match to spare, with the 3-2 victory over the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in Monrovia on Sunday, 18th June 2023, the Board congratulated the Super Eagles for their performance, but charged the team to show more zeal, cohesion and fierce dedication to national cause that will guarantee such a great outing at the finals that Nigerians will be proud of,” NFF said in a release on Wednesday

 Nigeria’s Super Eagles qualified for the 2023 AFCON after defeating Sierra Leone 3-2 away in Monrovia, Liberia’s capital on Sunday.

Nigeria’s final AFCON qualifier is against Sao Tome and Principe on September 4
