Lobi Stars chairman, Mike Idoko has taking a swipe against Sunshine coach, Kayode Julius describingbhim as a “thug” masquerade as coach in Nigeria football adding that football was not meant for such individuals, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Idoko who was reacting to the alleged beating of Lobi Stars first choice goalkeeper, Ospino Egbe by the Sunshine coach before their rescheduled match midweek, said that such acts tarnishes the integrity of the league and affected the psyche of Lobi Stars players which led to the huge loss called on the League Management Company to investigate the matter and sanction the coach.

“Football is not meant for thugs who masquerade as coaches to tarnish the image of the league.

“The incident affected the psyche of our players who were unstable. No surprise we lost the encounter,” said Club supremo, Mike Idoko.

Sunshine Stars announced Julius’ suspension through its official Twitter handle, due to what it referred to as “improper conduct during the rescheduled League match with @

Egbe was in the match day squad, but the assault ruled him out of the encounter.

“The assault was premeditated and we expect the LMC to move swiftly into action to maintain the integrity of the NPFL.

“Moreover, this concerns the life of a professional footballer.

Meanwhile, following Thursday’s assault on Gk Ospino Egbe by Sunshine Stars Chief Coach, Kayode Julius, just before their rescheduled NPFL tie, Lobi Stars has charged the League Management Company to conduct a full scale investigation into the unfortunate incident
