Amuneke Drags Tanzania FA To FIFA
Former coach Emmanuel Amuneke has dragged the Tanzania Football Federation to FIFA over unpaid monies.
Amuneke qualified Tanzania for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, but the side could not go past the group stage of the tournament.
As a result, TFF and Amuneke agreed to terminate the coach’s contract, but financial agreement has not been met.
It was gathered that Amuneke has reported TFF to the Arbitration Committee of FIFA over the East African nation’s failure to settle his contractual entitlements.
“I’ve contacted FIFA on the matter”, Amuneke told Completesports tacitly.
“It’s not something we should be making noise about, but hopefully FIFA will look into and decide if it is proper for one not to be paid after work,” Amuneke said.
Amuneke won the 1994 Nations Cup with the Super Eagles in Tunisia after scoring a brace which sank The Chipolopolo of Zambia 2-1 in the final.
