Golden Eaglets of Nigeria Saturday lost their third-place match against Angola in the ongoing U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Tanzania, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Nigeria lost 1-2 to the Angolans. The Angolans opened scoring in the 27th minute following Capita’s goal but the Eaglets rallied to draw level three minutes later Courtsey of Wisdom Ubani’s goal.

The match ended all square at the half time but Zito scored Angola’s winning goal on the 49th minute of the second half to ensure that the Eaglets left the tournament empty handed.

The Manu Garba-led side played a total of four matches in the tournament, won two and lost two but the good news is that the team by the virtue of their semi-final berth qualified for Brazil 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
