The Management of Bayelsa Queens Football Club has unveiled seven new players ahead of the new Nigeria Women Premier League NWPL season.

The unveiling ceremony which was held at the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa was witnessed by officials of the Ministry of the Sports Development, Management of Bayelsa Queens, SWAN Executives and other stakeholders in the State.

The seven unveiled players are Onyinyechi Ibe who is joining Bayelsa Queens from Ibom Angels, Celine Ottah from Ibom Angels, Mbadi Uju from Ibom Angels, Okeke Onyinyechukwu a goalkeeper from Edo Queens and Mabokande Fehintola from Ibom Angels as Rafiat Sule is making a return to the club as well as Anjor Mary from Osun Babes Fc.

Bayelsa Queens Chairman Mr.Timitimi Ebiki said the reason behind the unveiling of players and new kits is to officially inform the public of level of preparedness of the team for the new season.

Mr.Timitimi stressed the target of Bayelsa Queens this season is to successfully defend the league with inclusion of the new players to the club, adding that with the collaborative support from the Bayelsa government they would not relent in their quest to bring glory to the state.

On his part Technical Adviser of Bayelsa Queens Moses Aduku said the essence of strengthening the squad was to balance ahead of the new season.

Two of the unveiled players Rufiat Sule and Anjor Mary told Radio Nigeria how excited they were to join the reigning Nigeria Women Premier League champions.

They describe Bayelsa Queens as the best team in Nigeria, especially on the prompt response to players’ welfare.
