The President, Confederation of Africa Football, CAF Mr Patrice Motsepe have donated five hundred thousand United States Dollars ($500, 000) to displaced communities in Mozambique, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Mr Motsepe made the donation when he visited Cabo Delgado communities who were displaced by the military insurgents in Pemba, Mozambique on Tuesday morning.

He made the donation on behalf of the Motsepe Foundation.

He was joined by the Governor of Cabo Delgado, Valige Tauabo, CAF General Secretary, Veron Mosengo-Omba, the Mozambique Football Association, President Faizal Sidat, and co-founder and CEO of the Motsepe Foundation, Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe.

Approximately 2000 displaced community members received football balls and bibs from CAF.

In the afternoon, the CAF President was at Maputo for the launch of the African Schools Programme.

Recall that Mr Motsepe had earlier in the year before the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon donated various sums of money to religious bodies in that country.
