Former Monaco star, Victor Ikpeba, has told Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Ikpeba believes Ronaldo has been a distraction in many ways at Manchester United this season.

He noted that the Portugal captain made a mistake by rejoining Man United last year, adding that he should have joined Manchester City instead.

Recall that Ronaldo rejoined Man United from Juventus last summer.

His return to Man United came as a surprise as it seemed the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was on his way to Man City, only for the Premier League champions to cool their interest, paving the way for the Red Devils to win the race for his services.

Speaking on SuperSport’s Monday Night Football, Ikpeba said: “I think he [Ronaldo] should be leaving the club. Ronaldo coming back to Manchester United was a mistake.

“It’s not a question of him scoring goals, so many things happen when a star player returns to his original club.

“In many ways, Ronaldo has been a distraction. He’s a global star in football, he shouldn’t have come back at that age, he should have gone to Manchester City.

“Egocentric players, jealousy comes to play in the dressing room. The atmosphere has been nasty right from the beginning.”

But the former Africa Footballer of the Year winner is not alone in his assessment of Ronaldo as the cog in the wheel of Manchester United’s success.

Cristiano Ronaldo has directly won 23 Points for Manchester United this season via Goals and assists, but according to ex Barca & active PSG fan Leo Farshid, Leo Mofiz, Leo Akkas: Cristiano is the main problem!

Despite his goal record with the club, Manchester United are currently 6th on the EPL table, 6 points adrift of 4th placed Arsenal in the top-four chasing park.

The Red Devils will seek to bridge the gap as they face rivals, Chelsea in a rescheduled match this Thursday.
