Nigeria’s sports minister, Sunday Dare has expressed hope that the 2020 National Sports Festival, NSF can still hold this year, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report

The NSF was scheduled to hold in Benin, the Edo State capital in March but was postponed sine die following outbreak of the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic in the country

Speaking on Thursday in Abuja, the minister of sports said the federal and state governments will be properly guided on the possibility of holding the festival before the end of the year

“We are going to be properly guided on the National Sports Festival as we are working with the PTF, Health ministry, NCDC.

“We have sent a team to the National Sports Council.

“We hope that before the end of this year, we can have the national sports festival. Of course, with some modifications, it can be staggered,” he said.

Delta state won the overall best state in the 2018 NSF held in Abuja
