Super Eagles players are in superb form for their respective European clubs in their various leagues as Taiwo Awoniyi, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun and Ola Aina all on target during the weekend as Alex Iwobi bagged two assists in Everton’s win

Super Eagles Striker, Taiwo Awoniyi scored against his former club, Liverpool as Nottingham Forest defeated the former champions 1-0 on Saturday to reignite their relegation escape push.

The lone goal of the encounter was scored in the 55th minute.

His third goal for Forest was an instinctive poacher’s effort from close range but he ran Liverpool’s defence ragged at times with his pace and power.

He also scored the winning goal in Forest’s only other league win so far this season, against West Ham United, and if Forest are to survive he will be a key factor.

William Troost-Ekong scored his first league goal of the season for Watford as they thrashed Luton Town 4-0 in the English Championship league on Sunday

Troost-Ekong scored the second goal of the match on the dot of halftime to help push the former EPL side up to 10th on the log.

His fellow compatriot, Leon Balogun also netted his first goal of the season as his side Queens Park Rangers defeated his former club, Wigan Athletic 2-1 on Saturday

The victory took them to the pinnacle of the league standings with 30 points from 16 matches. They have played one game less than their close rivals Blackburn Rovers who have same points but inferior goal difference.

In the English Premier League, Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi continued his imperious display under Lampard as he bagged double assist to help Everton record their biggest win in 3-0 thrashing of visiting Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Iwobi assisted Calvert-Lewin’s first goal in the 11th minute before he made it two in the 84th minute for Dwight McNeil’s 3rd goal.

The victory took Everton to 11th with 13 points from 12 matches.

In Italian Serie A, defender Loa Aina got his name on the scoresheet as he netted the opening goal in Torino’s 2-1 away win over Udinese on Sunday.

Aina’s goal came off the boot of Aleksey Miranchuk. Torino are now 11th on the log.
