Ekiti United FC Thugs Chase Giant Brillars Out Of NNL Pre-match Meeting

The Nigeria National League matchday 12 encounter between Ekiti United Football Club and visiting Giant Brillars Football Club from Enugu may not hold after thugs allegedly hired by the home team chased Brillars’ officials out of pre-match meeting on Sunday, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
According to report, Giant Brillars Team Manager Mr George Best Udeh and the kit Manager Chinedu Edum were chased out of the pre-match meeting premises by suspected thugs working for the Ekiti United FC
It was also reported that the thugs threatened to “deal with” Giant Brillars if they do not leave the premises.
“Giant brillars FC officials threatened by Ekiti United hired thugs and selected officials during pre match meeting,” part of the report circulated on social media read.
“Pre-match (meeting) disrupted and Giant Brillars team manager in the person of George Best Udeh and the kit manager Chinedu Edum chased out of pre match (meeting) premises
“They further threatened to deal with Gaint brillars in Ekiti and greatly influence the outcome of the game by any means they can
“This is the terrible situation that the visiting team has find themselves at the hands of their host FC Ekiti United….” The report read.
The report added that “It is (sic) recalled that in Enugu a female Ekiti United official team almost blinded one of Giant Brillars official, the same woman is also the perpetrator of this unscrupulous act meted out to the away side, just so everyone will know and take note….” It concluded.
Bestchoicesports.com.ng contacted a competent source in the meeting who confirmed the development adding that “We have communicated the situation to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF and the managers of Nigeria National League, NNL.
“We put out the information to the public so that Nigerians should be aware of our plight in Ekiki.
“We came here to play football and get a fair result,” the source who spoke in confidence, said.
When contacted, Ekiti United Media Officer, Mr Oladapo told our correspondent that he was not at the pre-match meeting but promised to get back for clarifications.
