Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL champions, Enymba International are in cloud nine after their prolific strike Wasiu Alalade successfully underwent ankle surgery in Argentina, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Alalade was flown to Argentina after his injury which he picked up last year while on duty with Flying Eagles resurfaced after initial treatment.

Bestchoiceaports.com.ng understands that the surgery conducted on Monday was a success.

Doctors at the hospital are yet to set a timeline when the prolific striker will return to the field but there are speculations that in view of the nature of the injury, he might likely not kick a ball in the 2019/20 NPFL season.

It could be recalled that Wasiu Alalade was instrumental in Enyimba wining the abridged league last season.

Alalade is yet to feature for Enyimba in the league this season.
