Mountada Derb Sultan Handball Club of Morocco player, Farouk Yusuf, says his dream is to lift the All Africa Games Gold in Morocco, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands.

Yusuf told Aclsports that he was fortunate to be among the youth players listed to represent Nigeria at the 2019 All Africa Games qualifiers in Burkina Faso.

“I feel great and excited to be among the crop of players who qualified Nigeria for the 2019 All Africa Games in Morocco.

“The next mission is to lift the trophy for Nigeria when we get to the games.

“When I heard that my name was shortlisted for the qualifiers, I was motivated and I saw it as a great task because I am still a youth player.

“Coming second at the IHF Challenge Trophy in Kosovo means a lot to me and also to be among the first set of players that made it to Nigeria’s first international final” Yusuf said.

The young handball player said 2019 is already a great year for him, because he built on the 2018 success.

“I played for De Defenders at the Prudent Energy Handball League, attended the IHF challenge trophy in Niger, became the youngest handball player to sign a professional contract (Mountada Derb Sultan Handball Club) before placing second at the IHF Challenge Trophy in Kosovo.

“I am grateful to God for the opportunity because without him, I am nothing. I still have a long way to go in handball. I am praying to God to continue favouring me and guide my career.

“Playing outside Nigeria is challenging but great. You have to learn new stuff and culture. The game of handball has really helped me, all glory belongs to God.”
