The management of Nigeria National League side, Gateway United FC of Abeaokuta has tendered an unreserved apology to the fans of the club following their 2-3 home loss against Nnewi United in matchday 3 of the 2018/19 NNL season played Wednesday, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report

The club further appealed to the fans not to lose faith in the club adding the the management would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the club secures NPFL promotion next season

“The management of Gateway United FC of Ogun State has appealed to the teeming fans of the club not to lose hope in the team especially in its mission to securing topflight league ticket after a 2-3 home loss to Nnewi United in NNL matchday three.

“We apologise to our fans and supporters for our inability to pick maximum three points against Nnewi United in the match day three encounter of the 2018/2019 Nigeria National League season.

“No stone will be left unturned at ensuring that the elusive topflight ticket is secured,” the club wrote on its official twitter account.

The club also confirmed that their coach, Akeem Busari has resigned from his position.

“Akeem Busari has resigned as the head coach of Gateway United FC following a 2-3 home loss to Nnewi United in the match day three of the 2018/2019 Nigeria National League season,” it wrote
