The Governor of Enugu State, Right Honourable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi will on Saturday watch the final of the maiden edition of Hon. Chidi Ọfọ Okenwa U-13 tournament as Young Stars battles Black Stars for the coveted trophy, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

The finals of the maiden edition of Hon. Chidi Ofo Okenwa U-13 Football tournament holds on Saturday 22nd May, 2021 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

A press statement by the Enugu State Football Association Media, said the final match which comes up by 3pm is between Young Stars FC and Black Stars FC while the Third place match will see ND Academy taking on Golden Stars FC of Enugu by 1pm.

According to the Press Statement the finals will witness presentation of trophies, medals, and certificates to the winners as well as other laurels.

Other dignitaries to Grace the final include the Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports Hon. Manfred Nzekwe; Chairman Enugu State Football Association, Barr. Tony Ugwu; First Vice President, Nigeria Football Federation, Barr. Seyi Akinwumi; NFF Chairman of chairmen, Alhaji Shehu Guzo; Chairman Nigeria National League, NNL, Senator Obinna Ogba and other football stakeholders within and outside the state.

The statement further states that the tournament which kicked off few mounts ago is organized by the Enugu State Football Association in Memory of the Late chairman Enugu State Football Associationand Executive Board Member Nigeria Football federation and chairman NNL, Hon. Chidi Ofo Okenwa for his invaluable role he played in Grass root Football development in Enugu State.
