Speaking with our correspondent in Abuja Saturday, the outspoken Aderibigbe who is among some concerned Nigerians and football stakeholder calling for prosecution of top NFF officials over alleged endemic corruption said that Mr Dare’s legal threat is a mere distraction.

The Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare in a release on Saturday said it has briefed his lawyers to proceed with a N10 billion defamation claims againt Mr Aderibigbe following the latter’s reluctance to tender an apology as a result of his comment on Human Rights Radio that the Minister collected money from the NFF officials.

In a chat with our correspondent in Abuja, Mr Aderibigbe said that the minister’s action will not deter him from fighting corruption in the NFF.

“His actions will not deter me from fighting the corruption in NFF until the truth is affirmed

“It is now glaring that he is shielding corruption.

“This is a distraction but we remain focused until justce is achieved

“The whole world expected him to go frontally to fight corruption, a mantra of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, in the sports sector to a stand still rather he is threatening and harassing me with law suit. I am not afraid to go to court,” he concluded
