Kanu praised the chief executive officer of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe for the jobs he has done at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa and Enyimba Stadium, Aba. But he also wants the sports facilities expert to help resuscitate other stadia across the country.

“Monimichelle is simply number one in Africa. I am proud of him and what he is doing to change the face of our stadiums. His jobs are world class and I would want him to be given the job of re-grassing the national stadium pitches in Abuja and Lagos so that Eagles can return to their traditional homes,” Kanu said.

Kanu played in the African Legends versus Naija Legends exhibition game, where he dazzled fans with the best in his repertoire of football tricks.

After opened scoring for the Naija Legends in the 4-4 thriller, prompting the commentator to describe his combination with Austin Jay Jay Okocha as ‘the network that never fails.’

Apart from the Enyimba Stadium and the Samson Siasia Stadium pitches, Monimichelle also handled the Aper Aku Stadium Makurdi and Karkanda Stadium, Katsina pitches.

The company is currently working on the Onikan Stadium pitch in Lagos
