Rangers International FC coach, Abdul Maikaba have called on the management of the club to change the team’s home match venue following thier 1-0 home defeat against visiting Plateau United on Wednesday, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report

Rangers are temporarily using the FC Ifeanyi Ubah stadium in Nnewi, Anambra State as their adopted home for the ongoing 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL season pending completion of renovation works at their permanent home, the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

The team, though have displayed greater dexterity playing away with two wins and 3 draws, their home records are sources of worries to Maikaba who have added more improvement to the team since he took over at the beginning of the season

Their 1-0 loss to Plateau United is their second home defeat in the league which is just in week 10, consequently the coach have called for a change of venue for the team if they must restore their home pride and challenge for the title.

“I think the greatest undoing is the playing pitch. I have said it before, we should get an alternative,” the coach who saw his side lost against his former employees said after the match.

“We always struggle anytime we are playing here. We are not comfortable with the field. We play better in away games than we play here.”

Had Rangers won their 5 home matches so far, they would have been topping the log with 24 points but their poor home record have cost them dearly as they now lie 4th on the table with 16 points, 6 points below league leaders, Rivers United.
