Niger Tornadoes Striker, Oche Josiah, Vows To Repay Coach Bala With Goals

By Our Correspondent

Niger Tornadoes kid sensation and Nigeria National League Top scorer with four goals Oche Josiah has vow to repay back the confidence reposed in him by Niger Tornadoes Technical Adviser, Abubakar Bala Mohammed.

The Benue State-born and Kaduna-based forward is one of the latest discoveries of Abubakar Bala Mohammed who is known for discovering talented footballers with his eyes for spotting and nurturing talents.

Recall that, Oche Josiah, who is now widely known and call  “Tornadoes Osimhen” largely for his similar pattern of play and hair style to Napoli & Nigeria Striker, Victor Osimhen, caught the eyes of Niger Tornadoes Officials during a scouting program in Kaduna prior to the commencement of the current season, the forward enjoyed a blistering Pre-Season program with the Ikon Allah Boys finishing top scorer with 8 goals at the end of the club’s Pre-Season campaigns including his three goals that propelled the team to the finals of maiden edition of Governor Masari Cup Pre Season Tournament where Niger Tornadoes finished as runners up.

So far Oche has led the line well for Niger Tornadoes FC, as the pacy, energetic, skillful and hardworking forward was instrumental to Ikon Allah Boys two recent wins of the NNL campaign, bagging two goals in each of the matches against Shekarau Babes and Road Safety FC of Abuja.

Josiah and Coach Bala

During a chat with Tornadoes Media Oche Josiah summed up thus:

How can you decribe Coach Bala?

Father figure; he gave me my first break through as a footballer, he has shown me love, trust, believe and support since I arrived here, he has taught me a lot and I’m still learning and as such, I’ve resolved to pay him back with my goals for his confidence in me.

*How do you feel playing for Niger Tornadoes*?

I feel happy and lucky because Niger Tornadoes is a household name in Nigeria Football, Winners of the Coca cola Challenge Cup in the year 2000 and appeared in the Aiteo Cup finals twice recently, (2017 & 2019) I watched them during the last final against Kano Pillars in Kaduna. They have massive followership across the Country. In fact, I can say they don’t deserve to be playing in the NNL, and this is the singular reason I am fired up to help the team to attain top level football once more.

*Which foreign Club do you support*?

Arsenal Football Club

*Who is your football idol*?
