Nigeria Cyclists Commence Camping In Gombe For Africa Games

The Cycling Federation of Nigeria has commenced camping in Gombe ahead of the 12th Africa Games slated for Rabat, Morocco in August, Bestchoicesports.com.ng understands

The cyclists arrived Gombe on Friday while training commence on Saturday in Gombe.

Abulude Dayo, secretary-general of CFN said that 24 cyclists, four coaches and two mechanics are part of the Africa Games team in Gombe.

He said that the training was to get the cyclists adequately prepared as well as get good cyclist that will represent the country at the games.

Dayo, who is part of the team in Gombe, said there are 12 male cyclist and 12 female cyclist.

The 24 cyclists are:

Ajibade Quadri, Shamsudeen Alhassan, Akinrotimi Israel. Kurotimi Abaka, Godnews Edet, Azeez Mutiu, Smith Gabriel, Eruwagha Sunday, Ishaku Jacob, Lawanson Kazeem, Igunbo Shadrack and Bakare Afis.

Ukpeseraye Ese, Oven Rita. Odiase Glory, Tombrapa Gladys, Durogbade Adejoke, Marcus Rosemary, Okafor Happiness, Akaegbu Juliet, Ayuba Comfort, Ikerko Loveth, Oyewole Kate and Dung Caroline.

The four coaches are, Mohammed Bashir, head coach, Wachukwa Joy, Kamoli Amao and Omeboh Joy.

The image maker of the Cycling Federation of Nigeria Dorcas Jonah stated that the cyclists are in a very positive mode ahead of the Games schedule for next month in the Kingdom of Morocco
