After nine matches at the ongoing 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL Super 6 Play-off in Lagos, only two victories have been recorded as former champions and the current holders Enyimba FC and Rivers United maintain the leadership of the table with 5 points each from three matches.

Both teams recorded one win each with two draws while Lobi Stars and Sunshine Stars are the two teams to have tested defeat in the Play-off, consequently they are at the bottom with 2 points each

At the other end, Bendel Insurance continued to maintain their unbeaten recorded from the abridged league season but they are yet to win any match in Lagos after three matches.

Matchday 3 of the Play-off on Wednesday failed to produce any victory as Bendel Insurance forced Enyimba to a 1-1 draw while the South-West derby involving Remo Stars and Sunshine Stars had similar result.

The three draws recorded on Wednesday means that a total of seven matches have failed to produce a winner out of nine encounters.

Defending champions, Rivers United failed to overtake Enyimba on the log as they laboured to a scoreless draw against bottom-placed Lobi Stars

The winner of the 2023 NPFL season play-off will pocket the sum of ₦100, 000 and a giant trophy. The two best teams will qualify for the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League while the 3rd-placed team will pick the CAF Confederation Cup ticket

With two more matches to go, Rivers United will clash with Bendel Insurance in the first match of Matchday 4 of the play-off on Friday.

Lobi Stars and Remo Stars will square up in the second match of the day while the last match would see Sunshine Stars take on Enyimba FC by 7:30pm
