There are no indication that the leadership of the 2022 Prudent Energy Handball Premier League in both male and female categories will change yet as defending champions, Kano Pillars and Safety Babes, respectively maintained their dominance after matchday 3 in Lagos

Both clubs didn’t slip off the mark as they continued to get vital wins to keep their lead of the log on day 3 of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League season 5 phase 2 ongoing at the University of Lagos Sports Center.

In the men category, Kano Pillars were in no mood for play as they swiftly defeated Benue Buffaloes 31-20 to still remain atop the male category table while Safety Shooters, who are pushing hard to overtake the defending champion, struggled to defeat a resilient Tojemarine Academy with 31-28 victory.

Owena Kings, knowing that they are candidate of relegation and needed to change their situation, stepped up the ante as they battled hard to get a 21-21 draw against Rima Strikers while Confluence Stars also played out a 19-19 draw against Niger United.

The last match on focus in the Men Category saw De Defender defeat Seasider Boys of Lagos 28-26.

In the female category, defending Safety Babes champion expertly clipped the winning streak of Seasider Babes as they defeated them with a comfortable 31-25 victory to stay top of the league table while Rima Queens defeated Benue Queens 21-18.
