Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL champions, Rivers United Football Club has confirmed that their midfielder, Nelson Esor Okwa have joined Tanzania side, Simba SC.

Although the Port Harcourt based side did not reveal the transfer value of the deal, Nelson, it was gathered, signed a two-year deal with the new club.

While describing him as a “model professional”, the club thank him for his contributions to the team and wished him “all the very best”

“Nelson Esor has joined Simba SC of Tanzania,” the club said on Wednesday.

“We thank you Esor for your contribution to our club during your stay with us.

“Everyone at Rivers United wishes Nelson Esor and his family all the very best in their new chapter.”

Nelson Esor played an important role as Rivers United won the 2021/2022 NPFL season, their first ever league title.

The pride of Rivers are still in the transfer market for a replacement for Nelson Esor okwa, and are currently battling with Remo stars, for the signing of Nasarawa united’s midfielder Tochukwu Micheal on a free transfer.
