Sports Minister Praises D’Tigress After Mozambique Win, Lauds Brown’s Appointment As Tigers Coach

The minister of youth and sports development, Sunday Dare has praised the female senior national basketball team, the D’Tigress for their dominant performance against Mozambique at the ongoing Tokyo Olympic qualifiers in Sebia.
Nigeria defeated the fellow Africans 85-51 to inch closer to picking their Tokyo 2020 Olympic ticket.
Reacting to the ladies resounding victory Thursday, Mr Dare noted that with a 34 points gap in the scoreline, the ladies have made their appearance in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics a close reality.
“With a 34 point victory against Mozambique, Nigeria’s female basketball team D’Tigress have made their appearance in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics a close reality. They are our champions,” he said.
Mr Dare further commended the management of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, NBBF, for the appointment of Coach Mike Brown as the head coach of the male national team, the Tigers.
“NBBF- I must commend the NBBF for bringing Coach Mike Brown on board the coaching crew of our basketball Team. A bold one in the direction of achieving Olympic glory,” he said.
