The striker who few days ago ended her two-year contract with Avaldsnes Idrettslag of Norway where she made 37 appearances across two seasons and scored 12 goals.

The former FC Robo star announced her new club in her Twitter handle on New Year day.

“It is a great privilege & joy for me to be joining Atletico Madrid Femenino,” the 21-year old announced Friday.

“It is an opportunity I will never take for granted, and I am ready to give my all to push this great club to even greater heights.”

She thanked God, family members and friends who have been supportive of her for showing her love.

“Thank you to God, my family, friends and supporters for the unending love shown towards me so far.”

Adding “It is a huge step in my career and I am looking forward to this great challenge with @atletifemenino.

By joining Athletico Madrid Madrid Feminino, Ajibade is set to clash with her compatriot and Super Falcons teammate, Asisat Oshola who plays for FC Barcelona Feminine.
