Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL campaigners, Nasarawa United have abandoned their adopted New Jos Township Stadium in Plateau State and relocated to a new ground, Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna State.

The team adopted Jos Township Stadium as their home ground at the commencement of the new leagues following renovation works at their Lafia City Stadium

The relocation takes effect in their next home match against Plateau United in matchday 5 on Wednesday February 1st.

The change in home venue became expedient following a three-match ultimatum issued to the management and technical crew of the club by the Commissioner for youth and sports, Nasarawa State to turn the team’s fortunes around or face the “consequences”

The Solid Miners have endured unimpressive performances in Jos after losing all their three matches in the new season including two home games.

Despite facing their “Jos Landlord” on Wednesday, the team will not return to the cold city anymore.

Nasarawa United will be sharing the ABS with their fellow North-Central rival, Niger Tornadoes

The clubs next three matches include an away encounter with Gombe United on Sunday, a home derby against Plateau United on Wednesday and an away clash with Shooting Stars on February 5.

The Lafia boys are bottom of Group A with zero points and -5 goals difference.
