The Vandeikya Local Government Football Council (VLGFC), Benue State, felicitates with the NFF over the election of it’s President, Amaju Melvin Pinnick as Member of the FIFA Council at the CAF Elections2021 held inside the Royal Ballroom in Morocco.

In his message of felicitation over Amaju’s victory, the Chairman, Vandeikya Local Government Football Council, Mr. Robert Terlumun Akpenpuun hailed his victory describing it as historic and a great opportunity to develop football in Africa and Nigeria noting that Amaju was the best man for the job due to his good antecedents.

Pinnick defeated his only opposition, Malawian Walter Nyamilandu by 43 votes to 8. Other candidates threw in the towel before the vote, opting to back the Nigerian.

The NFF President is now expected to bring his wealth of experience and position in FIFA Council to bear on the development of football in Africa and Nigeria.

Before the election, Amaju pledged to do his best to make sure that there are absolute football development on the continent of Africa.

“I will do my best to make sure that there are absolute football development on the continent of Africa” Amaju said.

He started his career as the Chairman of Delta Sports Commission in 2010. He was then appointed Chair of Delta State Football Association in 2011, before becoming the NFF President.
