WAFCON 2026: 10 Players Arrive As Super Falcons Camp Open in Casablanca

At least ten players have arrived the Super Falcons camp in Casablanca, Morocco ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup oF Nations (WAFCON) due to start on Sunday July 26.
Already in camp for the 14th edition of the continental women’s football fiesta are captain Rasheedat Ajibade, six-time Africa Footballer of the Year, Asisat Oshoala; Africa Best Goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, and Christy Ucheibe are among the early birds in the nest.
They were joined by Fatima Oloko, Tosin Demehin, Oladipo Shukurat, Ogbonna Glory, and Imuran Rofiat as preparations gathered momentum.
The Super falcons are aiming to defend their title which they won last year after coming from behind to beat host nation, Morocco 3-2.
The Super Falcons have been drawn alongside debutants Malawi, Zambia and Egypt in Group C.
Madugu’s side will begin their campaign against Malawi’s Scorchers at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday, 28 July.
They will return to the same venue to face Zambia’s Copper Queens on Saturday, 1 August, before wrapping up the group stage against Egypt at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday, 5 August.
Beyond the continental title, the tournament also carries added significance as Africa’s qualifying competition for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
The four highest-placed teams in Morocco will secure automatic qualification for the global finals.
