An Abuja-based Winner Football Academy has expressed its readiness to be part of the Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge coming up in April this year.


The Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the Academy, Mr Jubril Kenny disclosed this on Thursday when members of the Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge crew led by the Director, Coach John Sam Obuh paid the academy a visit.
While expressing his delight over the visit, Mr Jubril who is a CAF licensed coach, said that the calibre of the crew organising the challenge is what endeared him to be part of it.


“There are scouting programmes everywhere in the country but I have not participated in anyone except the one I organised. But when I saw that Coaches John Sam Obuh and Samuel Abimbola are the anchors of this trial, I had no option.
“They are coaches well respected in Nigeria and whatever they put themselves in, is not only genuine but credible.


“I am not just happy and grateful over the visit but I want to assure the crew that we are ready for the challenge,” he told the Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge media team.
Earlier while addressing the players after their training, Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge Director, Coach John Sam Obuh thanked the CEO for the great job he is doing in moulding future Stars from his academy.


He advised the players to show more comment and hardwork in their training adding that Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge provides a great opportunity for them to actualise their football dream.


Winner Football Academy with training base in Gwarinpa a mega city in Abuja has in its category players from 5 to 20 years.
Among the players is little Sahad, 5 years, who expressed his desire to be a super star in football in the near future.
Visitation to academies in the country is part of the sensitisation by Fieldoo Nigeria Challenge to take the forthcoming challenge in the country to all academies across the country.
The Challenge which is the first of its kind and meant for male and female players within 12 and 21 years will hold from April 5 to 11, 2021 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
