Ghana’s Black Stars are leaving no stone unturned in their desperate move to ensure that they picked one of the five slots for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar ahead of Nigeria as they have penciled down 15 goalkeepers to consider to be in-between the stick, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Among options the Ghanaians are exploring ahead of the next month’s crackers include unleasing Enugu Rangers shot-stopper, Mutawakilu Seidu, to man the sticks against the Super Eagles.

Mutawakilu Seidu is among a plethora of goalkeepers the Black Stars goalkeeper trainer, Richard Kingston is considering to sort the deplorable goalkeeping department.

Ghana’s goalkeeping department was a subject of immense scrutiny during their abysmal show at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON in Cameroon.

In a monitored report on Hot 93.9FM, the Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer, Richard Kingston disclosed that he is monitoring about fifteen goalkeepers to decide on the most qualified to handle the goalkeeping spot that is up for grabs following the abysmal performances of recent goalkeepers for the team in their last four matches.

“I have about fifteen goalkeepers I am monitoring for Ghana. Some are in Africa, especially, Seidu Mutawakilu of Rangers International F.C, Enugu, Nigeria; Annan of West Ham United and a host of others,” stated Kingston, an ex-Black Stars goalkeeper.

Reacting to the development, Mutawakilu told Rangers media department that “It is an honour to be on the list of those been considered for a place in the senior national team of my country, Ghana. It just means that I have to keep working on what I know how best to do for a possible selection.”

The lanky shot stopper has been in scintillating form between the sticks for the ‘Flying Antelopes’ in the ongoing NPFL 2021/2022 season making some brilliant saves to keep his team in the game.

The 2022 Qatar World Cup play-off between Ghana and Nigeria will take place on 25th and 29th of March for first leg and reverse fixture in that order.
