Jazzy Stars of Jos, Plateau State are the first team to qualify for the semi-finals at the ongoing 8th edition of the Dreamland/Embassy of Hungary U-19 Cup Competition in Abuja, North-Central, Nigeria.

Jazzy Stars top Group C with 6 points after two victories against Olympic Hybrid of Abuja and Travelling Football Academy of Abia State. The two matches ended 1-0 in favour of the Jos lads

Badgers Soccer Academy of Kaduna State are second on two points and could not cover up the points deficiencies even if they win their last group match on Friday.

They drew goalless against Traveling Academy on the opening day and also shared the spoil with Olympic Hybrid in a one-all draw.

Travelling Academy have one point from two matches while Olympic Hybrid has same point from same number of matches played

On their part, Jamba Football Club of Kaduna State is leading Group A with 6 points courtesy of 2-0 win over Sergio Football Club of Kaduna on Matchday 1 and 1-0 win against last edition finalists, Hookes Sports on Thursday.Mailantarki Care Sports Academy (in white) vs Goddosky FC on Thursday.

However, They are closely followed by former champions, Dreamland Academy from Abia State who have 4 points from two matches with a win and a draw scorelines.

Dreamland who won the 6th edition two years ago drew 0-0 against Hookes Sports in the opening match on Wednesday before recording their first win in the competition on Thursday with a 1-0 victory against hard fighting Sergio FC.

Jamba FC and Dreamland Academy will slug it out in a top-of the table decider on Friday as the curtain falls on group stages.

Both teams need victory to consolidate their chances in reaching knockout statge.

Group B involving MTA Football Club from Enugu State, Mailantarki Care Sports Academy from Gombe State, Goddosky FC from Anambra State as well as Dossa Youth Football Academy from Kaduna is an open race, any team could come out on top in the matchday 3 on Friday.

Goddosky FC is topping the group with 4 points closely followed by Mailantarki Care Sports Academy with 3 points as well as MTA FC with three points.

Dossa Youth Academy brings the rear with a point from two matches.

The last group matches of the competition will be rounded off on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Turf Arena, River Plate Garden, Central Business District, Abuja.

The three Group leaders will qualify for the semi-finals while the fourth team would be decided via best loser slot.
