Perhaps, taking inspiration from the biblical injunction that “the Egyptians you see today, you shall see no more,” Rangers International FC of Enugu midfielder, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu is optimistic about the chances of of the former FA Cup champions making it out of their tough group in the CAF Confederation Cup, can report.

Early this week, the draws for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup was made. Enugu Rangers were drawn in Group A alongside two Egyptian top-flight clubs Al Masry SC and Pyramid FC, with FC Nouadhibou , a Mauritanian clubside completing the group.

Reacting to the draws, the former Enyimba of Aba player disclosed that he is aware of the threat posed by the Egyptian clubs but also is giving due respect to the Mauritanian side.

to prepare very well for all of them and make sure that we qualify to the next round.”
