Enyimba FC goalkeeper, John Noble has been drafted into the Super Eagles team to replace injured second choice goalie, Francis Uzoho, www.bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.
Uzoho called the technical crew to complain about sickness which has ruled him out of the last two Group C 2022 World Cup qualifiers between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Lone Stars of Liberia in Morocco on November 13 as well as home duel against the Blue Shacks of Cape Verde at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on 16.
Super Eagles confirmed the replacement on its Facebook page.
“Goalkeeper John Noble (Enyimba FC) has been drafted as replacement for Francis Uzoho who has called in sick ahead of FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022 Match Day 5 & 6 qualifying games against Liberia(Nov.13) & Cape Verde(Nov.16).
“Wishing Uzoho soonest recovery,” a statement on the page Sunday night said.
Nigeria currently tops Group C with 9 points from 4 matches and will need a win and a draw in results in the two matches to reach the play-off stage.
