2019 Africa Cup of Nations goal king, Jude Odion Ighalo has disclosed that his retirement from the Super Eagles might not be a word cast on stone, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report.

Ighalo, who plies his career in the Chinese Super League could decide to come out of retirement and feature for the Super Eagles again after admitting that a return is possible.

Ighalo called time on his international career in after the African Cup of Nations where he finished as the tournament top scorer.

Following his retirement from the national team , Victor Osimhen has since replaced him in the attack and the young forward hasn’t disappoint.

However it is no news that Ighalo has a very good relationship with current Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr, but it is unclear if the Franco-German tactician will extend an invitation to the Shanghai Shenhua striker.

‘The reality is I am retired and it stays that way for now,’ Ighalo told Brila .

‘But, we don’t know what the future holds and it is true that there have been calls for me to come back, we’ll see how it goes.’ He said.

Ighalo ended his wait for first major career trophy on Saturday after helping Shanghai Shenhua to Chinese FA cup glory.

Ighalo won the Golden boot award in the 2019 AFCON held in Egypt which also existed that Nigeria finished 3rd with bronze at the biennial event.
