Former Nigeria Premier League champions, Akwa United have unveiled Fatai Osho as thier new head coach on a one year contract.

The unveiling was carried out inside the conference room of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Wednesday

He is ambitious to help the Promise Keepers fight for every title and take the team back to the continent.

His one year contract has a cavet for extension. Osho was appointed by the Akwa United management in June and he took the team to to the 2023 Super 8 in Lagos

Mr Osho had previously managed teams like Remo Stars, Enyimba FC, and most recently, Rivers United.

Fatai Osho’s Records in the NPL

In the course of his coaching career, Fatai Osho has some impressive records to his name.

He is the first manager to guide Remo Stars to Nigeria’s top-flight league, the NPL

Since the turn of the century, Fatai Osho is the only Enyimba manager to defeat a particular team (Adamawa United) in back-to-back away league meetings.

He guided Enyimba to back-to-back quarterfinals in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Fatai Osho is an NPL title winner with Rivers United in 2021-2022 season.
