Kano state Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the appointment of members of Kano Pillars football club continental committee.

The committee headed by the Deputy governor of the state, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has the mandate to ensure that all loopholes as well as logistics in ensuring that the club makes an impact in the second continental campaign in two years are solidified.

The committee has the state Deputy Governor Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna as chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima Vice Chairman while Chairman Kano Pillars fc, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Jambul,Alhaji Habibu Dukawa, state commissioner of youths and sports Comrade Kabiru Ado Lakwaya as well as Chairman  committee on  Sports in the state Assembly Alhaji Nura Alassan Rano as Members.

Other members of the committee are   Hajiya Surayya Aminu Sai Mama, Special Adviser and  Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on sports Matters Alhaji Kabiru Baita and Alhaji Ibrahim Mu’azzam Marafa while chairman Kano state football Association Alhaji Sharif Rabi’u Inuwa Ahlan to served as Co-ordinator.

Permanent Secretary in the state ministry of youths and sports and Secretary Kano pillars Fc  Alhaji Ibrahim  Ahmad Sagagi and Sayyadi Abdullahi will run the affairs of the committee Secretariat.

The committee is responsible for overseen how Sai masu gida would play 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup.

According to the spokesman of the club Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, the committee has swung into action with an inaugural meeting Wednesday where issues on how best to discharge their assignment were discussed.

Kano Pillars were bundled out of the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League in the first Roung preliminary stage after they lost 2-0 to Ghana’s Asante Kotoko.

The Sai Masu Gida who won the first leg 3-2 at home in Kano but lost 2-0 to the Porcupine Warriors inside the Baba Yara Stadium in Accra to crash out 4-3 on aggregate.
