Ighalo who made goal-scoring debut for the Saudi Arabia giants was not considered for action by coach Leonardo Jardim as his club, reduced to 9 men in less than 30 minutes, suffered a humiliating 4-0 defeat.

Matheus Pereira and Mohammed Kanoo were both sent off in the 14th and 28th minutes of the encounter respectively after the both received straight red card for unprofessional conducts.

Egyptian club Al Ahly, who were African representative in the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup in UAE, won the bronze medal after they achieved a big victory over Odion Jude Ighalo’s Al Hilal in their third-place match at the Al Nahyan stadium which ended 4-0 in favor of the Egyptian club.

With the great victory, Al Ahly won the bronze medal for the third time in their history, and for the second consecutive time, since they were winners of the third-place game in 2020.

Al Ahly presented a wonderful show over the 90 minutes, however, since the beginning of the match, the Egyptian club was top of the game and succeeded in bringing down Al Hilal and Asian Champions, by a clean 4-0 win.

The win also means that the African side is living up to their dreams together with that of the continent, and as well will like to do more in the process of time.
