Football stakeholders in Nigeria, Tunde Aderibigbe and Harrison Jalla have described invitation of Nigeria Football Federation’s, NFF, staff at a time Nigeria is going through killings around the country as laughable,

The State Security Service (DSS) has been inviting at least three NFF staff – each from Account, Admin and Audit departments every week for questioning over the alleged corruption in the federation.

BSN Sports investigation revealed that those who were invited recently by the DSS were asked on their relationship with an investigative journalist and whistle blower, Tunde Aderibigbe and former Players’ Union president, Harrison Jalla.

According to the impeccable source who preferred anonymity, the security agent wants to find out how the whistleblowers get detailed information and want to find out who among the staff is responsible for disseminating sensitive information to whistleblowers.

In an exclusive interview with Harrison Jalla, he said he was surprised at the action of the DSS, wondering why they are interested in how they get information from a public organization like the NFF.
“If DSS investigation asked the NFF staff how I get information, then I am disappointed in them. When I heard that they were invited by the DSS, I thought it was due to the petition written by Amaju Pinnick inviting them (DSS) to take over matters from ICPC and EFCC.

“The DSS suppose to know that there is Freedom of Information Act and the NFF is a public institution. Information of the federation are in the public domain. It is unfortunate that DSS is looking out for how people get information about the looting treasury of the Nigeria football.
“I thought the DSS as a foremost security organization will be interested in trying to unravel all the looting spree that have taken in the Nigeria football since Amaju Pinnick took over.

“It is a reprehensible act for the DSS to degenerate to investigating petty issues like football leaves so much to be desired and the president must step into it. This is uncalled for bringing the reputation of one of the most highly placed government security into disrepute. It is very sad that they are investigating who gives information to stakeholders at time that there are killings in the country.” He concluded.
In the same vein, Tunde Aderibigbe says he was not surprised at all adding he knew such may happen after the DSS invited him asking him to settle with the NFF.

He urged the security agency to stop harassing the staff who knows nothing about how he gets his information. He also asked the DSS to divert the energy to finding solution to the killings in the Northern part of the country
