The Main organising committee of Ogbomoso Land Marathon, 2020  has commended the Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare for his support to the marathon event scheduled to hold in Ogbomoso before the end of the year, Bestchoicesports.com.ng can report

In a release Monday signed by the Media and Publicity Secretary, Yemi Sodeeq, the committee noted that the Ogbomoso-born Minister has  demonstrated his commitment and dedication towards the actualisation of the marathon.

Speaking through their Chairman, Prince Oyebamiji Aderemi, he  acknowledged the efforts of the Minister noting that his unwavering support has propelled the committee members towards staging the maiden edition of the marathon.

It would be recalled that the marathon which was earlier scheduled to hold on May 2nd, 2020 was postponed due to the ravaging pandemic of coronavirus.

The Chairman assured the general public that a new date for the marathon will be announced very soon adding that registration is still ongoing for interested participants.

He equally allayed the fears of some participants who had earlier registered for the marathon saying that their registration is intact and it thus count among all the integrated data of the marathon.
