A former Angola International Joao Dos Santos de Almeida has passed away after he was shot in his own Car while driving in the Angolan capital city of Luanda.
The reason for his targeted killing is not yet known but the 37 year old former Petro Luanda player was shot in the early hours of the day at 10:00 AM.
Cinho as he was popularly known played for 5 clubs in a close to 20 years football career.
He enjoyed a successful double spells at Petro Luanda,he played for Angolan national team U20 in World Cup 2001.He was a part of the Angola national team at multiple COSAFA Competitions for Under 20 and Under 23 National teams of Angola.
Upon his retirement in 2015 due to a knee problem, the attacking midfielder got into business and was a studying at the Calandula University in his 3rd year as a General Psychology student.
He divorced his first Wife, according to his ex wife he has 4 children but actually he has only a girlfriend.
The Luanda Police have launched investigation to track down his killer(s) and the reason he was shot.
